The newest addition to the Las Vegas sportsbook scene is downtown-based Circa Sports, which opened in June of 2019. Circa has five brick-and-mortar locations. Those are at Circa, Golden Gate, The D, Tuscany and The Pass.
The Circa sportsbook is open 24 hours a day. The other sportsbooks are open 8am to 10pm daily. The Circa casino sportsbook is the flagship of the company, and arguably, of the world. Circa, Golden Gate, and The D are owned by Derek Stevens. Pass Casino and Tuscany are local partners of Circa Sports and the Circa mobile betting app.
Circa made quite a splash in its first year with an aggressive bookmaking approach under director Matt Metcalf. Formerly a professional bettor and bookmaker at the Hilton, Metcalf has shown a willingness to take on big action and sharp players and has offered unprecedented futures prices with incredibly low hold percentages.
Circa is the only operator in Vegas that allows you to parlay your future bets and provides many unique offerings that are not typically seen on sportsbook menus. This includes betting no on futures markets.
Circa Sports betting menu
There is an expansive menu at Circa which includes wagering on professional football, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, tennis, golf, MMA, UFC, NASCAR, and even bull riding when it is in town. You can wager on college football and basketball throughout the season, with select betting on college baseball, college hockey, and college women’s basketball. Circa has been the first sportsbook to post lines on certain markets like college football and minor league football and will offer some lesser-known markets that aren’t widely available, such as college basketball extra games.
There is a variety of prop bets available for NFL games, Golden Knights games, and other marquee events. Live betting is available for all NFL games, select college football games, and most postseason NBA, NHL, and MLB games. Circa currently manages live trading in-house and does not use an outside software provider.
Circa Sports contests
Two contests will be available at Circa this upcoming football season. The Circa Sports Million, which just had its inaugural season, is a $1,000 pro football contest where you make five picks against the spread each week. The Circa Sports Survivor Pro Football Contest has a $1,000 entry. Participants get one pick to win straight up each week. Both contests are guaranteeing at least $1 million to first place, will not have a rake, and allow picks to be placed via the mobile app.
Circa Sports limits
Circa has quickly gained a favorable reputation thanks to offering some of the best sports betting limits in Las Vegas. While limits vary based on the customer, sport, and market, Circa has not shied away from sharp action and consistently offers higher limits than most of its competitors.
Customer service has been a priority for the new operator and they are always willing to negotiate limits with bettors who might have unique requests. This includes allowing bettors to make an additional wager after a limit bet once Circa has a chance to adjust the line for additional action.
Circa Sports mobile betting app
The Circa mobile app is open 24/7 and uses Nevada-based Stadium Technology. You must visit one of their five sportsbook locations to sign up, where you will fill out a W9 and will need a valid driver’s license and player’s card from the casino. Deposits and withdrawals may be made on the app. Circa is not offering any sign-up bonuses for new mobile accounts.
Atmosphere
While Circa Sport’s D and Golden Gate locations are brand new and have impressive TV and odds board displays, both are limited in size, so they don’t exactly generate the same atmosphere as some of the major sportsbooks on the Las Vegas Strip. That is not the case at Circa, which is the largest sportsbook in Las Vegas by square footage and provides one of the best atmospheres in town. It includes two stories of bar top video poker machines to go with the massive TV wall. The Circa Sports locations in locals casinos are also on the smaller side.
Parlay and Teaser Odds
Circa offers parlays on most straight bets and futures, with certain exceptions for markets that are correlated. They allow teaser bets for pro and college football and basketball, and have parlay cards, teaser cards, and reverse teaser cards available for pro and college football.
