Durango Casino and Resort – The Newest Locals Casino

Durango Casino is the newest casino in the locals market. It opened on December 5, 2023. We visited the property two days later. Our most recent visit was in April 2024. The casino has a selection of table games, slots, video poker, and a race and sports book. It also brings a selection of restaurants to the neighborhood. Additionally, the pool is now open.

Part of the Station Casinos family, players earn rewards through the Boarding Pass players club. Some comps are property-specific, while other rewards can be used at various locations. While Station Casinos helped sponsor our 21st-anniversary world record, Durango was not yet open.

Durango Casino

Durango Casino has an open and well-lit casino floor. During the day, floor-to-ceiling windows brighten the casino floor. Its simple casino floor layout makes it easy to see from one entrance to the other. We were most impressed with the STN Sports race and sportsbook. The 205-seat sportsbook is integrated with The George and offers indoor and outdoor seating.

The casino has more than 2300 slot and video poker games. While Station Casinos won the 2023 Vegas Best Advantage Award for locals video poker, Durango does not share this honor since it does not have any 100% machines. Station Casino properties that won this award include Boulder Station, Green Valley Ranch, Palace Station, Red Rock, Santa Fe Station, and Sunset Station.

Table game selection

Durango deals both 3/2 and 6/5 blackjack games, Free Bet Blackjack, and twelve non-blackjack table games. Games include baccaratcraps, Crazy 4 Poker, I Luv Suits, Mississippi Studpai gow pokerroulette, Three Card Poker, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. Table game minimums range from $5 to $100. There are also a few electronic table games, including a live dealer stadium.

Total Access Club and Vegas Advantage Super Fan members have more detailed access to table game surveys by casino property.

You too can access Vegas Advantage table game surveys and more through Patreon for as little as $5 per month! Annual memberships are now available for a discounted rate.

Durango brings a selection of restaurants and a sports bar to the neighborhood. The casino does not have many amenities such as a movie theater, bowling alley, or spa, like its sister resort casinos. However, the Bel-Aire Backyard is now open. It features a pool, poolside seating, and a bar.
