Gold Coast is a casino about one mile west of the Las Vegas Strip. For our 21st-anniversary celebration, it was casino visit number 26 of 93. Our last survey visit was in March 2024.
When we used to stay at Rio, we would cross the street to Gold Coast to play video poker there. That is because the pay tables are much better at Gold Coast compared to Rio. While Rio is under new management that increased video poker payouts, Gold Coast is still the better option. It is much safer these days to cross Valley View Blvd between the two casinos. There is now a pedestrian signal.
The casino has live table games, slots, a race and sportsbook, a keno lounge, and a bingo room. Property amenities also include restaurants, a bowling alley, and a hotel.

Gold Coast Casino
Gold Coast has a selection of table games, slots, and video poker on the casino floor. Other gambling includes live keno, bingo, and sports betting. The keno lounge is now open 24 hours a day. There are seven daily sessions in the 720-seat bingo room. Sessions start every odd hour beginning at 11am.
There is also a race and sportsbook. It has seven 90-inch TVs and thirty-five 48-inch screens. Individual monitors are available to race bettors. Wagers can also be placed using the Boyd Sports app.
Players can earn comps through Boyd Rewards. However, we believe this is the least worthwhile players club in Las Vegas, especially for table game and video poker players. Boyd Rewards won the first-ever Vegas Advantage Worst DisAdvantage Players Club Award for 2023. Other Boyd properties in Las Vegas include Aliante, California, Cannery, Fremont, Jokers Wild, Main Street Station, Orleans, Sam’s Town, and Suncoast.
Table game selection
Gold Coast deals 3/2 blackjack and seven non-blackjack table games. Games include baccarat, craps, pai gow poker, roulette, Three Card Poker, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. Table game minimums range from $3 to $25. At blackjack tables, the dealer hits a soft 17 and players are allowed to double down before and after splitting.
Electronic table game options include a live dealer stadium, a couple of heads-up games, and a multiplayer machine.
Total Access Club and Vegas Advantage Super Fan members have more detailed access to table game surveys by casino property.
You too can access Vegas Advantage table game surveys and more through Patreon for as little as $5 per month! Annual memberships are now available for a discounted rate.
