Sahara is at the far north end of the Las Vegas Strip. It is at the end of the line of the Las Vegas Monorail. The Sahara brand has been in use on the property for most of the last 70 years. It closed for a few years in 2011 and became SLS Las Vegas, only to rebrand back to Sahara in 2019.
Three hotel towers host 1,600 guest rooms. The resort fee includes in-room Wi-Fi internet access, access to the fitness center and seasonal pool, two complimentary bottles of water, airline boarding pass printing, and notary services during business hours. Alexandria Tower features a rooftop pool and offers close access to Amina Spa and the Fitness Center. Blanca Tower consists of only 196 rooms. In each of its over 1,100 rooms, the Marra Tower features classic amenities and a contemporary palette.
Sahara is smaller than most Las Vegas Strip casinos. Its casino floor is about 50,000 square feet. Lounges, restaurants, and entertainment options like a pool and showroom are also available on the property. Parking is free at Sahara.

Sahara casino
There are about 600 slot machines at Sahara. Denominations start at a penny and go up to $25. Some of these machines are video poker and electronic table games.
There is a William Hill sportsbook at Sahara. Deposits and withdrawals may be made there for the Caesars Sportsbook app. The small poker room in the rear of the casino closed in November 2024.
Table games
There are about 40 table games at Sahara. There are also a few electronic ones, like crapless craps and roulette. Live table games include baccarat, blackjack, crapless craps, craps, Dealer Open Pai Gow Poker, Jackpot Hold’em, roulette, and Three Card Poker.
Most Sahara blackjack pays 6/5. This includes Free Bonus and standard games. There are a few 3/2 tables on the casino floor that are only open during busier hours. In high limit, there is a game that stands on soft 17.
Sahara no longer deals triple zero roulette. Only double zero is available. Craps is up to 3-4-5 times odds. Live crapless craps is five times max odds. The hybrid version only offers double odds.

Entertainment at Sahara
Sahara hosts multiple entertainment options, including Magic Mike Live. Dueling Pianos perform on weekends at the Casbar Lounge. The AZILO Ultra Lounge and pool also host events throughout the year.

Sahara offers quick bites and casual dining to casino guests. Drinks are available on the casino floor, as well as the Casbar Lounge and The Tangier.

Vegas Advantage memories
John and Kristina have had many memorable experiences at Sahara over the years. Taking advantage of specials at the property as it closed down in 2011, they went home with about a half dozen collector’s cups after a night out with friends. Drinks those last few nights were creative mixes of whatever the bar still had left over. Unfortunately, while they rode most of the roller coasters in Las Vegas, they missed out on riding the one at Sahara.
In 2023, at a G2E after-party, Michael Shackleford of Wizard of Odds challenged Kristina to solve a math problem. She successfully solved it! John and Kristina also volunteered to participate in a couples magic trick which they still cannot figure out to this day. Before the party, they ordered drinks with the Vegas Advantage logo printed in the foam. The property was also visit number 31 out of 93 for our 21st-anniversary casino record run.
However, our most memorable experience at Sahara was when camels came to visit. A pure chance meeting; we saw the camels in the parking garage on our way to meet up with some friends. Then, we watched a failed attempt to convince the camels to walk through the front doors. Another door must have worked, because the next thing we knew, camels were walking around the casino floor!
