Treasure Island opened on October 26, 1993. It was developed by Steve Wynn. It was eventually acquired by the company that is now MGM Resorts. During the Great Recession, MGM Resorts sold the property to Phil Ruffin, who also owns Circus Circus.
Treasure Island is just north of the center of the Strip. Parking is free at Treasure Island. The hotel has almost 3000 rooms. Hotel guests have access to the outdoor, heated pool. Open seasonally; hours vary by season. Spa and salon services are available.
There are multiple bars with video poker, over 1000 slot machines, 42 table games, and a stadium installation. Treasure Island has an independent Las Vegas sportsbook. However, it does not have a mobile sports betting app.
There is no poker room at Treasure Island. It closed in August 2018. The closest poker rooms are at Venetian and Wynn.

Treasure Island Casino
Treasure Island has some of the best value on the Las Vegas Strip. TI offers the cheapest 3/2 blackjack on the Las Vegas Strip. There is a $15 six-deck game. Surrender and re-split aces are available. There is 3/2 double-deck blackjack in the pit, too. High-limit versions stand on soft 17 and start at $50. The double-deck version is the cheapest of its kind in Las Vegas. The salon also has $50 European Roulette, which is at least $100 everywhere else.
Table games
There are 42 table games at Treasure Island. It has a basic selection that includes baccarat, blackjack, craps, roulette, Let It Ride, pai gow poker, Three Card Poker, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em.
The casino offers the best value for blackjack on the Las Vegas Strip. Its 3/2 stadium game starts at $3. Double-deck blackjack and six-deck tables allow double down before and after splitting. All these tables pay 3/2. The only 6/5 blackjack at Treasure Island is at the single-deck tables.
Live craps has 3-4-5 times odds. Hybrid craps starts at only $5 and offers double odds.
Triple zero roulette is no longer dealt at TI. The main version is double zero. During busier hours, European Roulette is also available.
Treasure Island offers the best stadium setup in Las Vegas in terms of player returns and lowest minimum bets. It offers blackjack and double zero roulette. These games have $1 and $3 minimum bets.

Entertainment at Treasure Island
TI is host to the first Cirque du Soleil production in Las Vegas, Mystère by Cirque du Soleil. It is a family-friendly show. Other family-friendly entertainment includes The Cove Bar & Arcade. Games include arcade games, sports simulators, air hockey, skee ball, and more. Video poker is also available at the bar.
On select nights, there is live entertainment at Gilley’s Saloon. Normally, there is no cover charge. However, there is a $10 to $30 cover on Fridays and Saturdays after 9pm. Guests can even take a turn on the mechanical bull after 4pm.

There are multiple restaurants and bars at Treasure Island. Options range from quick bites in the food court to upscale steakhouse dining. Additionally, there is a wide selection of cuisine at casual restaurants.

Vegas Advantage memories
Vegas Advantage remembers the days of the pirate ship shows in front of Treasure Island. It was a regular stop when visiting the Strip with out-of-town guests.
Once, Kristina even took a turn on the mechanical bull at Gilley’s. The operator might have been going easy on her, but she didn’t do too bad.
In 2023, it was the 37th casino visited out of 93 in 24 hours. However, with a 12:04am time stamp on the slot ticket, it was the first casino played on their 21st anniversary.
