After only nine months, Planet Hollywood’s poker room is closing. The news was first reported in this YouTube video by Vegas Poker Nomad. The last day of operation will be January 31, 2026. It opened on May 9, 2025.
Planet Hollywood’s poker room offers 23 tables, including a separate tournament area. It is on the Mezzanine level. This requires an escalator or elevator ride from the casino floor.

Planet Hollywood’s poker room was once on the casino floor. It started in the area where the stadium gaming is today. Before that, it was at the bottom of the escalators that go to the Mezzanine. Both had much better visibility and drew more action from passersby, who now rarely walk by the current poker room’s location.
The poker room on the casino floor closed on July 11, 2021. The casino did not have a poker room for nearly four years. Aria, Bellagio, and Horseshoe have the closest Las Vegas Strip poker rooms to Planet Hollywood.
Caesars Entertainment seems to realize location matters
Planet Hollywood is not the only Caesars Entertainment poker room to see a major change after being closed for about one year. Caesars Palace’s poker room opened in a shopping area off the casino floor on May 16, 2025. Months later, it returned to its previous location next to the sportsbook. This helped it increase traffic.
The Las Vegas poker room contraction has slowed
There is little to read into the closure of the Planet Hollywood poker room. It is in a poor location, which attracts little action. Caesars Entertainment opened two Las Vegas poker rooms within two weeks of each other. The Poker Palace closure was related to a property sale and remodeling, not the poker economy. Station Casinos saw enough demand to reopen the Green Valley Ranch poker room last month. The bottom appears to be behind us.
This will make 40 Las Vegas poker room closures since 2012
Planet Hollywood’s poker room closure will bring the total number of open Las Vegas poker rooms to 18. This is after 40 have closed since 2012. Green Valley Ranch was removed from this list after its poker room reopened in December 2025.
