Jokers Wild closed at 10pm on March 22, 2026. Vegas Advantage arrived around 7:15pm. About 25 players were there. It got busier as the night went on. However, there were never more than about 50 people there. By comparison, Riviera had thousands on its property when it closed in 2015. Later that year, Las Vegas Club closed with about 50 patrons present.

We started with heads-up bubble craps. Nothing went right there. Split Card had the same result. After that, we found a $0.01 Spin Poker game and played it for the next two hours. It was right by the bar, so we got to see the regulars say goodbye. Kristina helped them take some pictures.

It is important to note that this is really not goodbye. It was more of a sentimental thing. All Jokers Wild employees were offered jobs at Cadence Crossing, which opens later this week on the same lot.

Oddly, we never found any Joker video poker games at Jokers Wild. That was amusing to me. It was a missed branding opportunity.

Regulars were doing shots and playing slots one last time. Stories were exchanged, including many involving the table games that were near the front of the casino until the March 2020 pandemic closure. Games like $1 10x craps, $2 double zero roulette, and $3 3:2 blackjack were available. Electronic table games sit where the pit once was.

We were warned at 9:30pm that we would be asked to cash out and leave in the next 30 minutes. That seemed like a good opportunity to film one last walk-through:

Jokers Wild gave away some souvenirs

We broke even playing Spin Poker. When we took the ticket to the cage, dozens of decks of cards and players card bungee cords were on a table in front of it. Since it was the end, and there were still piles of cards, we grabbed several. One turned out to be from Eldorado, which was once owned by Boyd Gaming, and is now Pass Casino. The others were different eras of Jokers Wild cards going back to the 2000s.

Most people were outside at this point. The former valet area was crowded. We got a few more pictures and left.

What we know about Cadence Crossing

Cadence Crossing will have about 450 slot machines, including video poker and electronic table games, and two restaurants. It will not have a hotel or live table games in this first phase.

Jokers Wild will be demolished, and the next phase will be built there, which includes plans for a hotel. The property opens to the public on March 23, 2026. Vegas Advantage was invited to check it out in the morning before the doors open. We will share our findings on social media and in an article that afternoon.

Dining

The two restaurants will be Tin Lizard Bar & Grill and Tacos Los Gauchos. The linked pages have menus. However, prices are omitted, which is common for Boyd Gaming restaurants.

Tin Lizard will be open 7am-9pm Sunday through Thursday and 7am-10pm on weekends. Tacos Los Gauchos will be open 24/7.

Tin Lizard Bar & Grill will offer a $5.99 quarter-pound cheeseburger with fries. It will also have weekday breakfast specials.

Drink specials

Locals casinos have been slashing drink prices over the last year. Cadence Crossing will enter the competition with $3 and $4 specials. The $3 deal for shots and mixed drinks covers Bacardi Rum, Jack Daniel’s, Tito’s Vodka, and Flecha Azul Tequila. The $3 drafts are Coors and Coors Light. For $4, Blue Moon, Heineken, and Modelo will be available.

Location

Cadence Crossing is on the northeast corner of Boulder Highway and Warm Springs on the north side of Henderson. Its lot is adjacent to the shuttered Jokers Wild Casino, which will be demolished and replaced by an expansion of the new property.

Check back on Wednesday

Vegas Advantage will be at Cadence Crossing’s grand opening on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. We will cover the best games we find and include photos and videos from inside the newest casino in the Las Vegas market.
