On July 23, 2026, Vegas Advantage visited casinos in the southern part of Henderson and near Boulder City. These casinos are not included in our survey. None have live table games. Some do not have electronic table games. They are neighborhood casinos. Some offer a great value. Others are as bad as the Las Vegas Strip.
While we stopped at Pass Casino in downtown Henderson, it closed on July 31. Pass opened with live tables, but eventually abandoned the concept and went all slots and video poker. It never tried to compete with Emerald Island and Rainbow Club, its neighbors, which offer some of the best value in the Las Vegas market.

Emerald Island and Rainbow Club

Emerald Island and Rainbow Club are the other downtown Henderson casinos. They have the same owner and offer mostly the same games. The main difference is that Emerald Island has $3 bubble craps and crapless craps. The 5% Buy commission is paid upfront on craps but not crapless, which is the opposite of what we usually find. Rainbow Club has no ETGs.
Both have some of the best video poker in the Las Vegas valley. Bartop single-line games at both include $0.25, $0.50, and $1 denominations. The $0.25 and $1 games have royal flush progressives. The options include 9/6 Bonus Poker Deluxe (99.64%), 9/7 Triple Double Bonus (99.58%),9/6 Jacks or Better (99.54%), and other 99% or better games.
The casino floor is covered in 3/5/10 Play machines with great paytables. Look for older Game King models. The options are 40/10/6 Double Double Bonus (99.96%), 16/10 Deuces Wild (99.73%), 8/5 Super Double Double Bonus (99.69%), 9/7 Triple Double Bonus, and 9/6 Jacks or Better. The denominations are $0.01, $0.02, and $0.05. However, up to 30 coins per line are permitted. The 800/1 royal flush starts at five coins.
Both casinos also have great variant paytables. Most of the above games are found on Spin Poker and similar titles. Ultimate X paytables include 99% or better ones like 7/5 Bonus Poker and 9/5 Double Double Bonus.
Emerald Island and Rainbow Club do not offer free slot play. The main perk of its players club is free food awarded at a generous level.
Hoover Dam Lodge
Dotty’s parent company owns Hoover Dam Lodge, which is near Hoover Dam.
Hoover Dam Lodge no longer has electronic table games, unless the video sic bo and roulette on U1s count. Rooms with different Dotty’s brands are available. It is similar to the Laughlin River Lodge.
The video poker is nearly universally terrible. The lone exceptions, like $1 9/6 Jacks or Better and 8/5 Bonus Poker, require 100 coins to get 800/1 on a royal flush. Look for machines without point multiplier signs above them to find the better paytables.
The U1 machines offer the best video keno in the market. There is no need to drive to Hoover Dam Lodge for it, though. All Dotty’s and related brands have these games. U1 machines can also be found at El Cortez and the Resort at Summerlin (Rampart).
Railroad Pass

Getting to Railroad Pass now requires exiting through somewhat convoluted highway offramps. Railroad Pass once had table games. It is now all slots and video poker. It has no electronic table games. All the video poker we found holds at least 2%. It is among the worst video poker options in the area.
Wildfire Boulder
Wildfire Boulder added two electronic table games since our last visit. One is $1 bubble craps. The 5% Buy commission is only paid on wins. The other game is $0.50 double zero roulette.
The Aristocrat bartops have $1, $2, and $5 8/5 Bonus Poker (99.17%). This game is also on Game Kings on the floor with $1 and higher 9/7 Double Bonus (99.11%), 9/6 Double Double Bonus (98.98%), and 15/9 Deuces Wild (98.91%).
Club Fortune
Club Fortune is on Racetrack Road, a few hundred feet east of Boulder Highway, near downtown Henderson. Like so many others in this area, it has no electronic table games.
The best video poker is on the 3/5 Play machines on the wall in front of the back bar. The quarter denomination has 9/6 Double Double Bonus and 15/9 Deuces Wild. Otherwise, quarter and higher denominations on the floor have 8/6 Bonus Poker Deluxe (98.49%).
Wildfire Lake Mead and Wildfire Fremont
Wildfire Lake Mead and Wildfire Fremont have identical ETGs and video poker. Both have three electronic table games by the sportsbook. The options are $1 craps, $1 crapless craps, and $0.50 double zero roulette. Crapless craps requires the 5% Buy commission to be paid upfront. The craps one does not.
The best video poker is at $1, $2, and $5 denominations. Both Wildfires have the typical 99% payback mix of games like 8/5 Bonus Poker and 9/7 Double Bonus.
Cadence Crossing

Cadence Crossing opened in March next to the old Jokers Wild at Warm Springs and Boulder Highway. Its available games match our original opening day report.
Bubble craps and crapless craps, heads-up 6:5 blackjack, multi-player double zero roulette, and Casino Wizard games are available. Dice games and blackjack are $3. Roulette is $1. On the Casino Wizard, the $1 games are baccarat, double zero roulette, big six, and pai gow poker. Craps with 2x odds, 3:2 blackjack that stands on soft 17, and Triple Card Poker (Three Card Poker) are $3.
The best video poker game is $2, $5, and $10 9/6 Jacks or Better (99.54%). It is on the bartops.
After 9/6 Jacks, the next best game is 8/5 Bonus Poker (99.17%). It is available on the floor at $1 and higher denominations and on one old Game King at $0.25 and higher. The two bars have it in $2 and higher denominations. These machines also have other 99% games like 9/7 Double Bonus, 9/6 Double Double Bonus, and 15/9 Deuces Wild.
These games, except 9/6 Jacks, are available on some 3/5/10 play machines at $0.25 and higher denominations. Variants like Ultimate X have paytables ranging from 96% to around 98.5% and start at nickels, except a few old machines by the restaurants have $0.01 and $0.02.

Klondike Sunset
Klondike Sunset is on Sunset Road just west of Boulder Highway. It is all slots and video poker. The only 99% games are 8/5 Bonus Poker and 9/6 Double Double Bonus. These are on all floor machines with the $1 denomination.
Wildfire Sunset
This is in Sunset Station’s parking lot. It is the only Wildfire of the four we visited without electronic table games. It has no ETGs. The video poker matches other Wildfires. The typical 99% games are on most Game Kings at $1 and higher denominations.
Arizona Charlie’s Boulder
Arizona Charlie’s Boulder is between Sam’s Town and Boulder Station. It has three $3 crapless craps machines by the main bar. The 5% commission is required upfront on Buy bets. The best video poker game is $0.25, $0.50, $1, and $2 15/9 Deuces Wild (98.91%). It is on nearly all floor single-line machines.
