Virgin took over Mohegan’s casino operations in March 2025. This means the same company now operates the hotel and casino. A new players club cleverly called Cherry Rewards was introduced to players. We have all the details on how to earn points and what each tier offers.
Vegas Advantage visited Virgin Casino on March 5, 2025. Some Mohegan branding was visible. Staff was hard at work replacing it with Virgin branding. Most slots were operational. Part of two pits were replaced with machines, including some new heads-up bubble craps electronic table games.
Cherry Rewards tiers
Cherry Rewards offers five tiers. The list below shows the names and points required to achieve each level.
- Hello: Entry tier
- Insider: 700
- Exclusive: 15,000
- VIP: 75,000
- All-Access: 250,000
Tiers are held for the remaining time in the period. The first period resets on August 1, 2026. From there, tiers are maintained through August 1 every year.
Tier benefits
Each tier offers benefits. The list below shows each tier’s perks. The higher tiers have all perks listed in the lower tiers.
- Hello: Earns slot points and tier credits, receives birthday offers, the potential of discounted or waived resort fees based on action, free check cashing, restaurant point redemptions, and presale access to event tickets.
- Insider: 10% off spa services and select drinks,
- Exclusive: 15% off spa services, 20% off select drinks, one free hotel night per quarter, room upgrades, early hotel check-in, VIP check-in desk, 2pm checkout, two complimentary show tickets per quarter, VIP parking, one free quarterly meal at Kassi Beach Club, 20% off pool entry for two for locals, and 10% off at the gift shop.
- VIP: 10% off spa services, free midweek pool access, turndown service, pre-arrival call, one free room upgrade per year, one free room per month, one free pool cabana per quarter, priority reservations to amenities, VIP hotel lounge, 15% off at the gift shop, VIP line access to shows, and airport transportation.
- All-Access: This top tier has all the above benefits plus spa day passes, three free hotel nights per month, 4pm late checkout, unlimited pool access, one free pool cabana per month, guaranteed room with two hours of notice, guaranteed restaurant reservations, 20% gift shop discount, and expedited valet.
Momentum tier and offer matches
Mohegan’s Momentum players are matched with the tier they had before the change. All slot points, comps, and offers move from Momentum to Cherry Rewards. Momentum cards must be replaced with a Cherry Rewards one. This may be done at the players center.

Point earnings rate
Players earn one Cherry Rewards and Tier Credit point for every $1 wagered on slots and $3 for video poker. Table game points are based on the average bet and time played. Players earn three points for every dollar spent on resort amenities.
Redemption rate
Players redeem 320 Cherry Rewards points for every $1 in slot play or resort credit. This adds 0.313% to slot action and 0.105% for video poker. Resort spending returns 0.938%.
Other Cherry Rewards information
All levels earn Tier Credits at the same rate. Tier matching is available. However, details are not yet available. New Cherry Rewards members qualify for at least $10 in free slot play for signing up through September 1, 2025. More details are available on Virgin Casino’s website.
