Anniversary in Bally’s Jubilee Premium Suite

Kristina and I celebrated our 18th anniversary on Monday. We decided to try something new for our celebration. I logged into Caesars Rewards to see what popped up when making reservations for our preferred dates. I have learned this is a way to find free rooms not attached to an offer. It was a Sunday and Monday night, so I figured I would have a good selection.

When I checked out Bally’s, I noticed a Jubilee Premium Suite was among my free rooms there. It has two rooms and is about 1,700 square feet. We decided to go with it.

Bally’s Jubilee Premium Suite

The room was about what you would expect from Bally’s. It was last remodeled in 2013. It had some wear on furnishings and doors but was overall fine. It had a minor smoke smell even though it was a nonsmoking room. A placard on the bar noted that smoking in the room would result in a $500 fine.

The room came with a large bathroom that included a Jacuzzi tub in the middle of it. It is open with the bedroom. Our view was of the Paris Las Vegas pool and tower, as well as the Bellagio fountain. We watched several shows from our windows. The sidewalk in front was nearly deserted for all.

We relaxed our first night. I got Sbarro from the Bally’s food court and brought it back to the room. After that, I played some Big Split Poker both days.  It is a unique video poker game that has some similarities with Pai Gow Poker. That helped pay for the room, which is why it was comped.

Bugsy and Meyer’s anniversary dinner

We went home and had a light lunch on our anniversary. We wanted to save room for dinner. We made reservations at Bugsy and Meyer’s Steakhouse at Flamingo. It takes Diamond Celebration vouchers, which I used for part of the tab. We ordered the tomahawk ribeye for two. It was great. As tender as it was, the steak knives had a hard time cutting, which we found odd.

I noted on the reservation that it was our anniversary. We were given a complimentary chocolate mousse with ‘happy anniversary’ signed in chocolate syrup.

Bally’s mini golf

After dinner, we decided to do something silly. Bally’s has an arcade in its lower level by the sportsbook. It includes a small bowling alley and Twilight Zone by Monster Mini Golf. We decided playing 18 holes for our 18th anniversary was the perfect activity. Kristina won by a couple of strokes. It was fun. We had not played mini golf in about 10 years.

The mini golf course was well-spaced. Patrons are required to make an appointment with 10 minutes between each party. Walk-ins are only accommodated if there is room. We bunched up a bit at the end as we were only a party of two and there was a party of three and four ahead of us. We just waited back to give the other groups a chance to move on first.

We headed back to the room for the night. It was an exceptional 18th anniversary.
