Caesars Entertainment reopened poker rooms at two Las Vegas Strip casinos this month. On May 9, 2025, Planet Hollywood’s poker room returned. A week later, Caesars Palace brought poker back. These openings were just in time for the start of the 2025 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe. Both new poker rooms are within walking distance of the WSOP venue.
Planet Hollywood

Planet Hollywood’s 23-table poker room reopened last week. It is in the former London Club space on the second floor of the property, steps away from where the Phamous Poker Series events were held on the mezzanine level. No 2025 Phamous Poker Series has been announced.
The Planet Hollywood poker room specializes in 1/3 no limit Texas hold’em with buy-ins of $100 to $300. It also deals higher limits of no limit hold’em and some pot limit Omaha cash games during busy hours. High hands with a $100 payout run every 30 minutes. The rake is 10% up to $5 with a $2 promotional drop.
Planet Hollywood has a separate tournament area. The Chainsaw Mixed Game Series is running in it now. There are also four $100 no limit hold’em tournaments daily. The start times are 10am, 2pm, 6pm, and 10pm. Each tournament has a $1000 guaranteed prize pool.

Caesars Palace
Vegas Advantage visited the new Caesars Palace poker room on opening day before it got its first game off the ground. Several friendly dealers and management members greeted us and permitted filming this video of the room:
Cash games are offered in the new eight-table poker room in the Appian Way shopping area. The main cash game is 1/3 no limit Texas hold’em with buy-ins of $100 to $500. The rake is 10% up to $6. When the 2/5 no limit game has action, its buy-in range is $500 to $2000. This game only charges a 5% rake up to $6. Caesars Palace does not have any promotions to fund, so there is no jackpot drop.

Six tournament tables are available in the sportsbook next to the old poker room location. Four tournaments are held daily. At 10am and 6pm, the buy-in is $120. It is $160 at 2pm and 9pm. All tournaments are no limit hold’em.
Caesars Palace’s poker room will grow later this year. It is expected to take over an adjoining retail space and double or triple in size by the end of 2025. This will give it frontage on the main Appian Way retail path. Today, its entrance is along the corridor that leads to hotel elevators.

Las Vegas now has 19 open poker rooms
Planet Hollywood’s opening increased the number of Las Vegas poker rooms to 18. Caesars Palace increased it to 19. In March 2020, before the pandemic closure, Las Vegas had 31 poker rooms. Vegas Advantage estimates there were once 58 Las Vegas poker rooms during the game’s online boom, which ended around 2011.
