Durango Casino opened on December 5, 2023. Vegas Advantage waited two days to visit so we could see all the Game details and talk to some dealers.
Durango makes an incredible first impression. It offers daylight from the entrances that are seen throughout the casino. We found this to be a nice touch.
We planned on trying out the food court. However, it was full of people, so we decided to eat elsewhere after our visit. The other restaurants were busy but seemed to have immediate seating.
The casino is smaller than we expected. It is about two-thirds the size of Red Rock Resort, its sister casino a few miles away to the north.
Our favorite feature is the STN Sportsbook. It is smaller than most Station books. There are a few rows of standard open seating. There are several large sections of VIP seating. The George restaurant is embedded in the sportsbook. There is also an outdoor video poker bar and restaurant seating.
Durango high-limit room
We visited the high-limit room first. There is an adjoining video poker bar. Three table games are dealt. Baccarat was $300. The two blackjack games are typical for Station salons. There is a double-deck game that hits soft 17 and allows aces to be re-split. The six-deck game stands on soft 17 with surrender and re-split aces.
European Roulette is not available at Durango. It is found at Green Valley Ranch and Red Rock.
Other table games
The Durango pit mostly resembles Red Rock. The differences are Durango has triple zero roulette and does not have crapless craps.
The maximum craps odds at the live game are 10 times. For Roll to Win, it’s five times. Both pay double on a field 12.
The two and six-deck tables pay 3/2. Free Bet and single-deck pay 6/5. The six-deck tables on the floor have surrender. All allow double down before and after splitting and hit soft 17.
All blackjack is dealt out of a shoe. There are no pitch games.

Durango video poker report
