There was a report by VPFree2 last week that Sam’s Town removed its bank of 100% machines that included full-pay Deuces Wild. The best game left there is a 9/7 Double Bonus Poker progressive with a $1500 royal flush reset.
Sam’s Town had the last full-pay Deuces Wild in the VPFree2 database. It seems safe to say that it was the last one in the world since Nevada tends to be home to the best video poker games,
Earlier this year, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur removed its bank of 100% machines. The available games included full-pay Deuces Wild and Joker Poker. Last year, Arizona Charlie’s Boulder did the same.
The demise of full-pay Deuces Wild started in January 2019 at Skyline Casino on Boulder Highway. These $0.25 games allowed up to 10 coins per hand. It was the same as $0.50 version of the game. These were old coin games in the Deuces Wild Corral.
As the years went by, teams would take over the room. Players would take two or three machines to themselves. Skyline got sick of it and dropped the pay tables on the games below 100%.
The old coin games are slow. Anyone trying to make a living off of these machines or any other $0.25 Deuces Wild is not a good advantage player. There are far better opportunities out there. This Twitter account shares examples several times a week.
In 2019, Downtown Grand added full-pay Deuces Wild up to the $2 denomination. The downgrades began a week or so later. Within a month or two, all the 100% video poker was gone from Downtown Grand.
In late 2019, Station Casinos dropped all its full-pay Deuces Wild games across all its properties. These games had been available there for what seems like the entirety of the company’s modern existence. Most Station Casinos still offer 10/7 Double Bonus and 10/6 Double Double Bonus.
Plaza probably has the best video poker game in the world
There are still two $0.25 full-pay Joker Wild machines at Plaza. These return 100.65% with perfect play and five coins. However, I don’t think any human can get that return. The strategy exceptions are too numerous and complex.
The machines are by the security podium. And just like the full-pay Deuces Wild advantage players, you are wasting your time on this as there are far better opportunities out there, especially since the perfect strategy is impossible to learn.
Where are the 100% video poker games in Las Vegas?
Plaza has the Joker Poker game described above. The Sam’s Town 9/7 Double Bonus progressive mentioned earlier is another example.
All Station Casinos deal 10/7 Double Bonus (100.17%) and 10/6 Double Double Bonus (100.06%) at the $0.25, $0.50, and $1 denominations. There is also quarter Loose Deuces (100.15%). Four Queens and Fremont have 10/7 Double Bonus Poker in downtown Las Vegas. The Fremont one is a dollar coin game.
There are six 10/7 $0.25 coin 10/7 Double Bonus machines at Skyline. Emerald Island has a nickel progressive 10/7 Double Bonus. There is also 10/6 Double Double Bonus at Emerald Island with a slightly short straight flush pay that puts it right under 100%. That game is available for up to $1.50 per line in up to 10 hands. Rainbow Club across the street in downtown Henderson also has this 10/6 Double Double Bonus game.
