After months of rumors, Vegas Advantage has confirmed the Green Valley Ranch poker room will reopen by the end of 2025. December is the favorite.
When reached for comment, Station Casinos shared a statement from Ken Janssen, Green Valley Ranch’s General Manager and Vice President. “Poker’s home in Henderson is back at Green Valley Ranch,” Janssen said. “We took our guests’ feedback loud and clear and are pleased to announce the return of Poker, among the many exciting upgrades happening at the property.“
New poker room returning to its previous location
The Green Valley Ranch poker room will return to the same space it once occupied near the sportsbook. It will host 16 tables, according to Green Valley Ranch. The previous Green Valley Ranch poker room was home to 22 tables, according to PokerAtlas. The casino will install all-new tables, chairs, and upgraded TVS and sound. The poker room will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The area has been used for a variety of purposes over the last five years, including a sports viewing area and a promotions space. Today, it is a nonsmoking slots area, which will remain until construction begins.
The new Green Valley Ranch poker room will deal fixed-limit hold’em, no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, and Omaha hi/lo. Cash games and tournaments will be offered.
Station Casinos operates three other Las Vegas poker rooms, located at Boulder Station, Red Rock Resort, and Santa Fe Station. All three deal no-limit and fixed-limit hold’em cash games. Santa Fe Station offers fixed-limit Omaha hi/lo. Boulder Station is known for its wild 4/8 fixed-limit Omaha hi games.
All three Station Casinos poker rooms launched tournaments in 2025. Red Rock Resort and Santa Fe Station did not deal tournaments for five years after the pandemic shutdown. Boulder Station did not have tournaments during the 15 years Vegas Advantage has covered the market’s poker scene.
Green Valley Ranch will be Henderson’s only full-time poker room. Skyline on Boulder Highway has the only other one in the area. It deals 2/4 limit hold’em a few nights a week.
The new poker room is part of an ongoing $200 million property renovation, including upgrades to hotel rooms, suites, meeting spaces, and the new high-limit slots and table game areas.
Green Valley Ranch poker room grand opening promotions
Green Valley Ranch will offer several poker promotions to celebrate its return, including a grand reopening tournament and a Mystery Cash Splash with envelopes containing $50 to $1000 each. It will share promotions with the three other Station Casinos poker rooms, like the Jumbo Hold’em Bad Beat Jackpot and 24/7 high hands.
Green Valley Ranch becomes the first Las Vegas pandemic poker room closure to reopen since 2021
The Green Valley Ranch poker room was one of 10 in Las Vegas that closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 and did not reopen by 2021. The others were Binion’s, Cannery, Club Fortune, Excalibur, Harrah’s, Mirage, Palace Station, Rio, and Sam’s Town.
The poker rooms at Flamingo, Silver Sevens, and Sahara reopened after the pandemic closure. These three rooms eventually closed.
The Las Vegas market hosts 19 live poker rooms today. However, Poker Palace is one. That property closes on September 30, 2025, for a massive renovation under new ownership, leaving only 18 open poker rooms. Green Valley Ranch will return that number to 19, barring any new developments by the end of 2025.
This will be the third 2025 Las Vegas poker room reopening
Poker rooms at Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood reopened in May. The Caesars Palace poker room closed temporarily in 2024 and later moved to a retail area. Planet Hollywood’s poker room closed in 2021 and reopened upstairs earlier this year, just before the World Series of Poker.
The 18 Las Vegas poker rooms that will be open once Poker Palace closes on September 30, 2025, are:
- Aria
- Bellagio

- Horseshoe
- Mandalay Bay
