Las Vegas is home to 13 live keno lounges. There are three downtown. One is on the Strip. The others are in the locals market. Las Vegas keno is as close to a lottery as the city gets. Nevada’s constitution forbids lotteries. The closest lottery retailer to Las Vegas is in Primm, on the Nevada and California state line along Interstate 15 South.

All Las Vegas keno lounges have the same payouts for one and two hits. A one-spot pays $3 for every $1 bet. Catching both numbers on a two-spot pays 12. The payouts start to change between keno lounges, starting at three spots. Players receive $42 up to $45 for every $1 wagered when covering a three-spot ticket, depending on the location.
All Las Vegas keno lounges sell tickets from one number up to 10. Some go as high as 20 numbers. Many locations have special keno tickets players can buy for pennies, nickels, dimes, or quarters. However, a minimum number of tickets sold applies.

Vegas Advantage published the only Las Vegas live keno survey on Patreon in June 2025. It compares all the paybacks for every number from one to 15. The survey shows the payback percentages for each casino’s traditional games and spots. This information is available for $5 and includes all live table games, electronic table games, and the best video poker in the market at over 70 casinos. Returns can vary by 10% for the same numbers picked between casinos. Knowing where the best keno payouts are will save you far more than $5, as paybacks range from 57% to 77%.
Total Access Club and Vegas Advantage Super Fan members have more detailed access to table game surveys by casino property.
You can access Vegas Advantage table game surveys and more through Patreon for as little as $5 per month! Annual memberships are now available for a discounted rate.

Las Vegas keno lounge locations
Horseshoe is the only Las Vegas Strip keno lounge. The downtown market has these games at California, Plaza, and The D. In the locals market, live keno lounges are found at Arizona Charlie’s Decatur, Boulder Station, Gold Coast, Green Valley Ranch, Orleans, Palace Station, Red Rock, Santa Fe Station, and Sunset Station.
Boyd Gaming owns Gold Coast and Orleans. These share the same paytables, but are different than the one used at California, which is also operated by Boyd Gaming. No other Boyd Gaming casinos have keno lounges.
Boulder Station, Green Valley Ranch, Red Rock, Palace Station, Santa Fe Station, and Sunset Station are also Station Casinos properties. Each shares the same paytables and progressive jackpots. Durango and the Wildfires do not have live keno.
How to play live keno
Once you have found the best keno paybacks in our survey, it is time to head to the keno lounge. Each has paper tickets that players fill out. Mark the numbers you would like to play, the number of games, and the amount of money per draw. If you want to play a special game, like California’s Aloha Special or Horseshoe’s Crazy Fours, write the initials on the card to alert the ticket writer. The employee will enter your ticket into the system and ask the player to verify the numbers. Once this is done, the ticket is bought and printed. Always check the ticket before leaving the counter.
Some keno lounges have kiosks. The instructions are simple to follow. It is like making bets on a video keno machine.
How to play video keno
All Las Vegas casinos and gaming taverns have video keno. It is a faster way to play the game when compared to the live version. The paybacks per game are also much higher. However, live keno players only get six to 12 draws per hour. A fast video keno player can get dealt 1000 hands or more per hour. This makes video keno cost more to play per hour.
Like live keno games, video paytables can vary drastically from one casino to another. Check the paytables to ensure the game is worth playing. Some casinos have video keno jackpots on six, seven, eight, nine, and 10 spots. These usually require four coins to play.
After inserting your money or a slot ticket, pick your numbers. After that, press the deal button. Some machines have an autoplay function that will play games consecutively without doing anything. This can be stopped by pressing the deal button again. When you are finished, click the cashout button to get a slot ticket that may be redeemed for cash or used on other machines.
