Las Vegas has more poker rooms than any other U.S. casino market. While the poker boom is in the past, tournaments are as popular as ever, as noted by high attendance numbers for live events like the World Series of Poker, DeepStack, and World Poker Tour.
While there are larger U.S. rooms in other cities, no other market outside Las Vegas offers so many options for real money poker in such a small area. Players have 18 poker rooms to choose from in the area. However, Sahara’s closes on November 16, 2024. The Caesars Palace poker room is temporarily closed during a casino floor renovation. No reopening date has been announced.
The largest Las Vegas poker room hosts 50 tables. The smallest has two tables. This list shows the 10 largest Las Vegas poker rooms ranked by the number of tables. Special events, like large poker tournament series, may temporarily increase the size of these rooms.
Venetian – 50 Tables
Venetian hosts the largest Las Vegas poker room. It hosts 50 tables. The tables were moved from the front Strip entrance to the casino to the Grand Canal Shoppes in August 2024. A baccarat stadium replaced the old poker room. This took the poker room from a high-traffic area to one with little chance to draw passersby. Players have complained about lower-quality games and fewer tournament entries, likely caused by the poor location.
The most common cash games at Venetian are 1/2, 2/3, and 2/5 no-limit Texas hold’em. Two no-limit hold’em tournaments are spread most days.
Bellagio – 37 Tables
Before Venetian moved and expanded its poker room earlier this year, Bellagio had the largest in Las Vegas. Its 37 tables are spread across three playing areas. One is for low-limit games. Another is for middle-limit ones. High-limit games are played in a semi-private room once called “Bobby’s Room.”
The main cash game is no limit hold’em. The most common blinds are 1/3, 2/5, 5/10, and 10/20. Bellagio is home to most of the fixed-limit hold’em and mixed game action on the Strip. Six tournaments a week are dealt.
The Orleans – 34 Tables
The Orleans has the most poker tables of all Las Vegas locals casinos. There are 34 in and around the poker room. Many are used solely for tournament action, which includes Omaha and mixed games. Omaha Hi/Lo is the most popular cash game at The Orleans poker room. It also deals hold’em and mixed cash games.
South Point – 30 Tables
South Point’s poker room went from barely relevant 10 years ago to the second-largest locals one today. A mix of no-limit and fixed-limit hold’em games are dealt on its 30 tables. Players will also find some Omaha and mixed game action. Four daily tournaments are dealt, including the occasional mixed game one.
Resorts World – 29 Tables
Resorts World opened with a poker room in 2021. It was the last new one to open in Las Vegas. The main cash games are 1/3 and 2/5 no-limit hold’em. A 4/8 mixed game runs several days a week. Two daily $200 NLHE tournaments run daily. One starts at noon. Cards go in the air at 7pm for the nightly one.
Wynn at Encore – 28 Tables
Wynn’s poker room is located in its sister casino, Encore. It typically has 28 tables. However, an adjacent tournament area expands that number during special events. No-limit hold’em cash games with blinds of 1/3, 2/5, and 5/10 are most common. Two daily no-limit hold’em tournaments are spread when no series runs.
MGM Grand – 25 Tables
MGM Grand hosts 25 tables. Many are in a separate tournament area. All cash game action is at 1/3 and 2/5 no-limit Texas hold’em. Three no-limit hold-em tournaments are dealt daily. Each has a $130 buy-in.
Aria – 24 Tables
Aria deals 1/3, 2/5, and 5/10 no-limit hold’em and 1/2 pot-limit Omaha on its 24 tables. A daily tournament is dealt at 1pm. The buy-in is $160 on Sunday through Thursday and $240 on weekends. Aria is home to the PokerGo tour, which offers many high buy-in pot-limit Omaha tournaments.
Red Rock Resort – 20 Tables
Red Rock is located in Summerlin, a Las Vegas suburb. It hosts 20 poker tables. Its promotions, including a bad beat jackpot, network with Boulder Station and Santa Fe Station. All three properties are owned and operated by Station Casinos. When a bad beat jackpot hits at one property, players at all split the table share. Fixed and no-limit hold’em are the cash games available. No limit comes in 1/3 and 2/5 blinds. The fixed-limit games are 3/6 and 4/8. The 4/8 game has a half-kill. Red Rock does not deal any tournaments.
Horseshoe – 18 Tables
After closing poker rooms at Caesars Palace, Flamingo, Harrah’s, Linq, and Planet Hollywood in recent years, Horseshoe remains the last Caesars Entertainment poker room open today. The Horseshoe poker room has 18 tables. The property, once known as Bally’s, hosts the annual World Series of Poker. The main cash game is 1/3 no-limit hold’em. Six daily tournaments are offered. The buy-ins range from $100 to $160.
