Last week, I tweeted a top five list for Las Vegas Strip casino value. That opinion covers casino games, not any amenities. The reasons for my ranking are below.
We are able to create content like this because we track every table game in the Las Vegas market. We cover this in our Vegas Advantage Newsletter. This helps support the site.
First Place – Treasure Island
It was easy to name Treasure Island the best casino value on the Las Vegas Strip. Its $10 minimum bet for 3:2 Las Vegas Strip blackjack is the lowest. It also offers $1 3:2 stadium blackjack, $1 and $2 stadium baccarat, $2 stadium Three Card Poker and $0.50 stadium roulette.
Treasure Island’s high limit games start at $50. This includes stand on soft 17 two and six-deck blackjack games.
The $1 video poker at Treasure Island is above average for the Strip. Its players club returns several times more to in points when compared to the average Las Vegas Strip casino.
Second Place – The Strat
The Strat comes in at second place because of the value of its lower limit gaming. Its 3:2 blackjack starts at $15. The 3:2 double deck is always $25. The $25 baccarat is among the lowest on the Las Vegas Strip. Its other table games start at $5, but most are $10. The video poker is a little above average for the Las Vegas Strip.
The Strat is owned by the same company as the two Arizona Charlie’s in town, as well as the PT’s chain of gaming taverns. Points earned at these properties may be used at others within the company. That means that you can take advantage of the good games at Arizona Charlie’s and spend your points at The Strat.
Third Place – Tropicana
Keeping with the theme of independent operators, Tropicana comes in at third place. It is by far the best value on the Las Vegas Strip south of Flamingo Road.
Tropicana ties for the lowest minimum bets at baccarat, craps. Roulette and Three Card Poker. It has the lowest minimum bet for pai gow poker on that half of the Strip. The video poker returns over 99% at some $1 and higher games. You may find 3:2 blackjack for $15. It is rarely over $25.
Fourth Place – Sahara
Sahara ties for the lowest craps minimum on the Las Vegas Strip. Its 3:2 blackjack starts at $25. Its high limit game that stands on soft 17 usually has a $50 minimum bet.
Sahara is home to the original Fortune Pai Gow Poker. It typically has a $15 minimum bet. Other table games tend to start at $10. Sahara is one of two Las Vegas Strip casinos that does not deal triple zero roulette.
Sahara offers some 99% video poker at the $1 denomination. This includes 8/5 Bonus Poker, 9/7 Double Bonus Poker and 9/6 Double Double Bonus. I needed the help of VPFree2 with that part.
Fifth Place – Flamingo
Flamingo is the only casino that is part of a major Las Vegas Strip operator to make the cut. The reason it edged out the others is that it has a variety of $5 table games. Its minimums tend to be a bit lower than other Las Vegas Strip casinos. This includes its $50 minimum bet for high limit blackjack that pays 3:2 and stands on soft 17.
