Trip Report: Circus Circus Adventuredome

Circus CircusCircus Circus

Kristina and I had a buy one get one free wristband for the Adventuredome at Circus Circus that expired at the end of the month. We decided to use it. We had not been in years.

It was tough to find the hours for Adventuredome. The last update on its website was March 2021. I tried to confirm the hours with Circus Circus on social media, but did not receive a response. We arrived at 11am on Wednesday since the old information said that it opened then, only to find out that it did not open until 1pm.

Checking out Circus Circus and Slots A Fun while we waited

We walked around Circus Circus and a few casinos around it. The most notable observation from those visits is that Circus Circus closed its sportsbook. It now has a kiosk in the bar area near it.

Circus Circus still has the same table games it had in our last survey. All the blackjack pays 6:5, except it is even money at Double Exposure Blackjack, which is the only place to play this game in Las Vegas. The other table games are craps, 00 roulette, 000 roulette and Three Card Poker. The Circus Circus pit closes from 4am to noon during the week.

Slots A Fun was so deserted that its bar was not open. It now has a few electronic table games, video poker at the bar, and some slots. Much of the space is not utilized, including the old restaurants and the store in it.

Circus Circus Adventuredome hours as of February 2022

  • Monday through Thursday: 1pm to 8pm
  • Friday: 11am to midnight
  • Saturday: 10am to midnight
  • Sunday: 10am to 9pm

What we rode at Adventuredome

We returned at 1pm. It was already somewhat busy. However, there were no lines for the rides.

We rode most of the Adventuredome rides. We started with Disk’o, then the Road Runner, followed by the new NebulaZ. We then hit the new swing and tea cup rides.

Loco was next. It is the newest roller coaster at Adventuredome. It is my favorite ride there.

The older roller coaster called Canyon Blaster is fun. However, I always remember when I get on it that I am too tall for the restraints. I am 6’2. I think the tallest someone can be comfortable on Canyon Blaster is about two inches shorter than that. I had a minor neck injury after riding it, just like I always do. Two days later, it is fine.

If you get on Canyon Blaster, you will see remnants of the old log flume ride when going up the first incline. Loco took over much of the old log flume’s space so it no longer operates. It was closed most of the times we visited when it was still in operation.

We then hit the bumper cars and pirate ship towards the back of Adventuredome. After that, we rode a few of the rides again. The Sling Shot was closed. The Inverter is not something we enjoy. The rest of the rides are for small children.

The only lines we encountered were at Loco. It took about three cycles for us to get on it. Otherwise, there were no waits. That helped us get through Adventuredome in about two hours. I would guess it would take twice that long, at least, if it is busy.
