The D Casino and Hotel

The D is one of three downtown Las Vegas casinos owned by the Derek Stevens family. It is on the Fremont Street Experience towards the east end. The D offers players two stories of casino gambling. This includes 900 slot and video poker machines and 20 table games. Four tables are in its high-limit salon. The first floor is home to table games and Longbar. The hotel front desk and One Club players center are also downstairs.

The top level is accessible via escalators inside and from Fremont Street Experience. It is a retro casino with two bars, a Circa sportsbook, and a keno lounge. It is home to the last Sigma Derby machine in a casino. High-limit slots are also upstairs.

Additionally, there are four restaurants, four bars, and around 630 hotel rooms at The D. There is a nightly resort fee of $39.95. It includes complimentary self-parking, Wi-Fi for two devices, a 10% discount at the coffee stand, and access to the pool and 24-hour fitness center. Two free passes to Stadium Swim are also included in the resort fee. Guests looking to rent a car can reserve through the nearby Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Two levels of gambling at The D casino

On the main casino floor, there are 20 table games. This includes four types of blackjack. Blackjack games pay 3/2. Double down before and after splitting is allowed and the dealer hits soft 17. Craps, roulette, and three other table games are available. Maximum craps odds are 10 times. There is a separate high-limit salon with three tables. Additionally, electronic table games are at the top and bottom of the indoor escalators.

Most of the 900 machines at The D are slots, including penny ones and reels. However, there are a handful of video poker banks on both casino levels. It shares the One Club players club with Circa and Golden Gate. Slot players receive points worth 0.2% in free play and comps. Video poker players get 0.1%.

Sigma Derby is a classic horse racing simulation located on the second floor. The D is the only casino in the world with a machine of it. Sigma Derby operates on coins. There are no bill acceptors. There is a quarter machine that gives change for bills nearby. Coin cups are provided for withdrawals.

Also on the second floor, a Circa sportsbook is near Bar Canada. Deposits and withdrawals for its mobile app are available here. Additionally, there is a live keno lounge and high-limit slots on this level.

Enjoying food and drink at The D

There are four restaurant options available to guests. Andiamo is the fine dining option. Located at the top of the escalators, it is an Italian steakhouse. We dined there many times and highly recommend it. We even ate next to the Vegas Golden Knights one evening! You should get a reservation as it can be booked up in advance. Andiamo is open for dinner nightly.

Also on the second level, Bacon Nation capitalizes on its namesake for breakfast and lunch. The menu ranges from omelets to burgers, to entrees. Bacon Nation is open daily from 7am until 2pm.

American Coney Island sells hot dogs, burgers, gyros, and fries. Open 24 hours a day, it is accessible from the casino and Fremont Street. Additionally, there is a coffee bar near the hotel front desk.

In addition to a bar directly on Fremont Street, three video poker bars are found inside. The 34-seat Longbar is on the first level near the table game pit. BarCanada and Vue Bar are located upstairs. The hockey-themed BarCanada is near the sportsbook. Vue Bar is a favorite of ours when visiting The D.

More Vegas Advantage memories

Previously in the back of the second floor of the casino, The D showroom closed in 2019. Two of the shows moved to The Orleans, where they closed on March 15, 2025. This included Adam London Laughternoon, a family-friendly comedy magic show, and Marriage Can Be Murder, an interactive dinner show.

While BarCanada and the Circa Sportsbook are in this space today, we enjoyed the magic and comedy shows a few times. Kristina was pulled on stage the first time. Another time was for our daughter’s birthday. Her friend was called on stage and we purchased rubber duckies to remember the night.

We play video poker at Vue Bar a few times a year. One of the best games in downtown Las Vegas is available in the quarter denomination on these bartop machines.

Through Circa, the company helped with transportation for our 21st-anniversary casino record. The D was casino visit number eight out of 93.
