There are dozens of Las Vegas locals casinos. These range from small slot parlors to full-service resorts. Each has a unique place in the Las Vegas market. The list below includes my favorites. It is in alphabetical order.

Both Arizona Charlie’s
Both Arizona Charlie’s casinos have the best video poker in Las Vegas. One is on Boulder Highway. The other is on Decatur Blvd between Charleston Blvd and US 95.
The best video poker games are full pay Deuces Wild (100.76%) and full pay Joker Poker (100.65%). There are several other 100% games on these machines. Arizona Charlie’s Decatur also has table games with minimum bets that are below average. There are no table games at Arizona Charlie’s Boulder.
Emerald Island and Rainbow Club
Emerald Island has the best pay tables for video poker variants that I have found in Las Vegas. At last check, this included 3/5/10-play, Split Card and Ultimate X variants. The 3/510-play games offer 10/6 Double Double Bonus (99.96% version) and Not-so-ugly-ducks (99.73%) up to the nickel denomination. Up to 30 coins may be wagered, for a total bet of $15 per 10-hand game. Loyal players never pay for a meal at the Emerald Island restaurant.
The owner of Emerald Island acquired Rainbow Club across the street. It has quality single line video poker, including at its bar, where it ties for third place in the entire Las Vegas market.
Red Rock Resort
Red Rock Resort is the most luxurious locals casino. Rocks Lounge is our favorite casino bar in Las Vegas. It has 8/5 Bonus Poker and 15/9 Deuces Wild that start at the quarter denomination.
Table games start as low as $5 at Red Rock Resort. It has 10/7 Double Bonus and 10/6 Double Double Bonus, as well as video poker machines with games that return as much as 99.8%. It has a massive selection of video poker variants.
Sam’s Town
While most Boyd Gaming casinos have tightened up some over the last few years, Sam’s Town has gotten a little looser. It has a bank of 100% video poker machines that includes quarter full pay Deuces Wild. It also has a wide variety of 99.5% and better video poker options. Craps still has 20 times odds, the highest in the Las Vegas market.
Santa Fe Station
Santa Fe Station is a massive locals casino in the far northwestern part of the Las Vegas Valley. Table games start at $5. It has the same great video poker games mentioned in the Red Rock section, as well as many 99% and better multi hand pay tables. Its Free Bet Blackjack recently started paying 3:2 on blackjack.
Skyline Casino
Skyline is a unique Las Vegas locals casino. It is the last one with coin games. This includes quarter 10/7 Double Bonus and many 99% or better games like Double Double Bonus, Sevens Wild, White Hot Aces and Joker Poker. There are also some $1 coin games with a return of 99% or better. The bar has 9/6 Jacks or Better.
On weekends, Skyline Casino has $5 3:2 blackjack. There is also a poker room that is home to the last 2/4 fixed limit hold’em game in Las Vegas.
South Point
South Point has more 99% and better video poker machines than anywhere else in Las Vegas. Its bar comes in second place in the entire market for video poker quality. Games like Not-so-ugly-ducks, 9/6 Bonus Poker Deluxe and 9/6 Jacks or Better are available on many bar machines. The table game pit is home to several $5 games, including 3:2 six-deck blackjack and craps.
