It may seem like triple zero roulette has taken over Las Vegas. There are almost 100 triple zero tables in the market these days and over 200 double zero ones. However, there are a few Las Vegas casinos that deal single zero roulette. We counted 32 tables during our last table game survey. That is just 8% of the total roulette tables in the Las Vegas market. There are over three times more triple zero wheels. A total of 20 Las Vegas casinos deal a type of single zero roulette.

There are two types of Las Vegas single zero roulette. One is called European Roulette, referred to as French Roulette online. It uses a single zero wheel and adds several bets that are not available on most other roulette felts. The big rule change in Las Vegas European Roulette is that the player only loses half their bet on even money wagers like red, black, odd, even, high, and low when the ball lands on zero. This is called la partage.

The other type of single zero roulette in Las Vegas is the traditional one. Every bet on the felt has the same payout as it would on a double or triple zero wheel. Casino sites often call this European Roulette, which can cause confusion.

The house edge in single zero roulette is 2.7%. It drops to 1.35% in European Roulette for bets that qualify under the la partage rule.

Las Vegas Strip casinos with single zero roulette

All remaining single zero roulette tables in the market are on the Las Vegas Strip. Vegas Advantage found 15 Strip casinos single zero roulette tables, most European, during the latest survey. Most are in high-limit salons. Four are in pits. Single zero roulette is not just at high-end resorts like Aria, Wynn, and Encore. It is also dealt by some properties on the lower end of the Las Vegas Strip market.

Las Vegas Strip European Roulette and other single zero tables start at $50 and run up to $500. The latest minimum bets and locations are available to Vegas Advantage members.

The one exception sits at the north end of the Las Vegas Strip. The Strat has a $25 single zero roulette game upon request. It generally does not open unless there is known action. The table was originally installed in the salon but moved to the pit in front of it when the high-limit table game area closed. It has been covered during our last two visits.

Single zero roulette payouts

Payouts on single zero roulette tables are the same as ones with two or three zeros. It is impossible to bet more than one zero at single zero or European Roulette. There is also no basket bet.

Even money bets

Red/black: Wins if red or black is correctly picked, and loses if the opposite or zero comes.

Odd/even: Wins if odd or even is correctly picked, and loses if the opposite or zero comes.

High/low: Low numbers are 1-18. High numbers are 19-36. The bet loses if the opposite is called or the pill lands in zero.

Other bets

Street: This bets three numbers in a row. The payout is 11:1.

Corner: The corner bet is placed where four numbers come together. It pays 8:1.

Line: Includes six numbers across two streets on the felt. The payout is 5:1.
