Fremont Hotel and Casino

Fremont Hotel & Casino is owned by Boyd Gaming. As its name implies, it is on the Fremont Street Experience. It is at the intersection with Casino Center Blvd. The casino underwent a massive renovation in 2022 and 2023. The hotel rooms were remodeled. There were several changes to the casino floor. A food court was added in the former buffet space. There is now a FanDuel Sportsbook on the property.

There are over 1000 slot machines at Fremont. We counted 22 table games during our last survey. A handful of electronic table games are also available. The casino was the ninth stop on our 21st-anniversary casino world record.

The casino has a large selection of video poker games. Video poker options include traditional single hand, Triple Play, Five Play, Ten Play, Ultimate X, Super Times Pay, and Spin Poker. These games start at the quarter denomination and go up to $5. Games $1 and higher are found on bar tops.

The casino removed coin video poker games in March 2020. All machines are now ticket-in/ticket-out. Additionally, the keno lounge is permanently closed. There is a FanDuel sportsbook near the new food court. There is no poker room.

Boyd Rewards players club

The Boyd Rewards players card is used at Fremont. However, changes to Boyd Rewards left most video poker and table game players behind from most of the benefits. In our experience, the mailers do not make up for it.

It is probably fine for slot players, but for anyone else, we think Boyd Rewards is the worst players club in Las Vegas. Therefore, Boyd Rewards won the 2023 Vegas DisAdvantage Award for Players Clubs.

Other Boyd properties in Las Vegas include Aliante, California, Cannery, Gold Coast, Jokers Wild, Main Street Station, Orleans, Sam’s Town, and Suncoast.

Table games

There are 22 table games. Most are blackjack tables. There are also craps, roulette, and poker pit tables. Fremont was the only Las Vegas casino with Texas Hold’em Bonus. However, it disappeared with the remodel in 2023.

Fremont blackjack rules

The most common game is double-deck blackjack. Blackjack pays 3/2. There is a six-deck blackjack game with a $1 Bonus Spin mandatory side bet. This game pays 6/5. Both allow double down before but not after splitting. The dealer hits soft 17.

Worst Las Vegas craps odds

Vegas DisAdvantage Award: Worst DisAdvantage for Craps Odds in 2023: 2x Odds

Of the 68 casinos in Las Vegas that dealt craps as of December 1, 2023, only three cap odds at double the line bet.

Fremont, along with California, and South Point, offers the lowest craps odds in Las Vegas. It is only double odds. This wins them the 2023 Vegas DisAdvantage Award for Craps Odds.

Nearby entertainment

Fremont does not have a showroom or any entertainment options. However, Golden Nugget is nearby and has regular entertainment. The Fremont Street Experience also hosts free nightly light shows and other entertainment.
