Best Las Vegas Blackjack Games for Low Limit Players

Poker Palace CasinoPoker Palace Casino

Last week, I published an article on where to find $5 and lower blackjack in Las Vegas. Some of these games are great for low rollers. However, several in that report pay even money or 6:5 on a blackjack. This article covers where lower limit players can find 3:2 blackjack games.

These games may be unsuitable for higher limit players. The maximum bets tend to be lower. The same can be said of tolerance for large bet spreads. All games mentioned below hit soft 17 unless otherwise noted.

This data was originally published in our March 2022 Las Vegas Blackjack Survey.

Poker Palace $3 blackjack

The best low limit blackjack game in the Las Vegas area is at Poker Palace. It is in North Las Vegas. The minimum bet is $3. It is the only 3:2 blackjack left in the market with a minimum bet under $5. Six decks are used.

This Poker Palace blackjack game has a special rule that permits players to double down before and after splitting on two or three cards. It is the last traditional blackjack game left with this rule. Longhorn and Bighorn once had it. Those two casinos removed table games after reopening from the pandemic closure.

Best downtown Las Vegas blackjack for low limit players

Downtown Grand offers the best downtown Las Vegas blackjack value for low limit players. You will find a $5 six-deck game with surrender and re-split aces.

El Cortez offers three $10 blackjack games. The best is a single deck. Players can double down before but not after splitting. The other two games use two and six decks. Both permit double down before and after splitting. Plaza offers the six-deck game for $10. Golden Gate has it for $10 with eight decks.

There are only two Las Vegas Strip casinos that deal a live 3:2 blackjack game under $25. Treasure Island has $15 double deck with double down before and after splitting. The $10 six-deck game adds surrender and re-split aces. There is also $1 3:2 stadium  blackjack.

The Strat has a six-deck blackjack game that starts at $10. It is often $15. In addition to normal double down rules, aces may be re-split.

If you are near the south end of the Strip, you can walk to Oyo on Tropicana and find $10 3:2 blackjack. Ellis Island has $5 and $10 3:2 blackjack tables with re-split aces.

Low limit players looking for the least expensive way to get into high limit can play for $50 at Treasure Island and Sahara. Treasure Island offers the games mentioned below, but standing on soft 17, in its high limit salon. Sahara has a $50 six-deck game that stands on soft 17 with double down before and after splitting, surrender, and re-split aces.

If it is slow, you may be able to get a $50 game in the high limit at Flamingo and Paris. Both have normal double down rules. Flamingo has surrender. Paris has that and re-split aces.
